Autoscaled Services

When high processing load occurs on the virtual instance where your dedicated service is hosted, the system automatically spins up a new instance to help offload the traffic and ensure your endpoints remain available and responsive. The additional instances are removed when the period of high load ends.

LOAD Balancing

Incoming connections are load balanced. This means that the data is routed to the virtual instance that is best capable of responding efficiently. Load balanced traffic ensures that your connections get through quickly when you have multiple dedicated services or when your service autoscales up.

Dedicated Hosted Instances

With Dedicated Hosted Instances, your services will be on their own scalable virtual instance cluster. Your instances would run 4 dedicated services each. You may also choose to have more instances running by default.

development Account

In addition to your production ready account you also receive access to a shared account that can be used for development and testing processes to sandbox environments. Instalink provides mechanisms to easily transfer projects between the development account and the production account. So it's just a few clicks when you're ready to launch your processes.

Searchable Process Logs

Instalink provides an easy way to log the behavior of your projects. At any point in your process you can log the details of the state of the process including incoming data, outgoing data, external service errors & responses. We also provide success logs for goal tracking. You can apply an identifier (i.e. a sales order id number) to your logs to make them easily searchable.

OBSERVER NOTIFICATIONS (SMS & EMAIL)

For peace of mind, Instalink provides a built in process for setting up Observer Notifications (SMS & EMAIL) which allows your administrator to be notified in the event that something is not right with your process logic. Example: Set up an observer where a txt message is sent when an external service returns a 5% error rate within ten minutes.

Error Notifications via Email

The error logs provide an option to send a message to an email recipient when the error occurs. The message includes a link back to the Instalink admin panel where the error can be addressed as needed.

Open VPN Tunnel

It is vital at some organizations that certain transactions are not exposed to the web. To assist in this, we provide an OpenVPN tunnel that your organization can connect to and ensure private communication between Instalink and your various internal services. Of course all transactions on Instalink are protected by up-to-date SSL encryption.

Dedicated VPN Tunnel

We can set up a private VPC and VPN tunnel to connect to your organization's internal VPN for enterprise customers that request this. Please see your sales representative for pricing details on Dedicated VPN Tunnels.

Verbose Log Persistence

Instalink stores the verbose searchable logs for a period of time after they are created. This time period is one month to one year depending on the type of account you have.

Build-a-Form Tool

Instalink provides the ability to auto-generate forms to call your endpoints. These forms are useful for triggering manual processes, generating reports, and testing endpoints without the need for external software such as PostMan or cURL.

Request Retries

Any request that comes to your Instalink endpoint can be retried. This is useful for error resolution. For example, an external service may send incorrect data that causes your process to not function as intended. You are able to view the error log, modify the data that was provided, and then resend the call.

User Defined Access

By default your Instalink account comes with a single user log in. You may add additional users to your account at no additional cost. You, as the account administrator, may then allow or deny access to specific projects within your account.

Database Connections

Instalink currently supports read and write operations for MySQL, Microsoft SQL, and ODBC. You can effectively build an API to your data without ever writing code.

Documentation and Tutorials

Instalink provides users with detailed tutorials on how to use the GPM (Graphical Process Modeling) interface, utilize and deploy the various connectors, and how to build processes that accomplish specific tasks such as scheduling processes, printing labels, writing to a database or building documents.

Submit Support Tickets

We provide access to a support ticket board where users may review or report suspected issues with the system. Users may also ask questions about how to use the software. We do our best to respond to all inquiries within two business days. As we are dedicated to providing support for Instalink we can not answer questions or triage issues concerning external systems.

Account Manager

Enterprise customers have the ability to directly contact an Account Manager that can assist in answering questions. The Account Manager is available during normal business hours.

99.9% Service Up-Time

Instalink has experienced 99.9% uptime to date with all services monitored 24/7. It is important to note that we cannot control the services that you connect to Instalink, guarantee their up-time or triage issues with external systems. We reserve the right to perform monthly maintenance and important updates on our systems. These periods usually do not impact the performance of your individual services for more than a few seconds. We will always notify you before a scheduled maintenance window to ensure that you are aware when there may be a performance impact or scheduled down time.

The number of dedicated services that an account has directly correlates with the number of concurrent connections that an account can process. For example, an account with four dedicated services can process four inbound requests at the same time without queueing any connection. A shared account will share its service with other accounts. The diagram below shows the effect of 10 concurrent connections to a sample Instalink process. This process takes about one second to respond under normal load. Below you can see how response times are affected under high load when using 1, 2, or 4 dedicated services.
